The Gubernatorial Fellows Program

The Chair for the Florida African American Alliance would like your assistance with encouraging graduate and undergraduate students to apply for the Gubernatorial Fellows Program. The program exposes students to key areas of government, including the Executive Office of the Governor and the Governor's Agencies, so that they may receive hands-on experience and insight on the government and how it works.

Fellows will be paid approximately $10 per hour (see below) and fellows selected from public universities will receive free tuition for any credits taken during their Fellowship year.

Fellows selected from the following private colleges will also receive free tuition for any credits taken during their Fellowship year: Barry University, Bethune-Cookman College, Clearwater Christian College, Eckerd College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida Institute of Technology, Florida Southern College, Lynn University, Nova Southeastern University, St. Leo University, University of Miami. Please note that if fellows attend a private college not included on this list, he/she is still eligible to apply for the program, but will need to speak individually with the dean regarding waiver of tuition.

The following information is provided to acquaint you with the program. For additional information, you may visit http://www.myflorida.com/fellows.

Thank you for your assistance with this initiative.
