Currently, the WOT program operates in 35 Broward, 50 Miami-Dade and 8 Palm Beach County Public High Schools and serves 1,800 Mentees with more than 200 Mentors.
To have more educated, well-prepared young women who are aware of the opportunities available to them benefits the individual, her family, her community, and, one young woman at a time, it benefits society in general. It is our expectation that WOT graduates will be more likely to take on productive social engagements, contribute in a positive way to their communities and to create families that instill similar expectations.
We believe our program to be the only one of its kind - one of highly select professional women mentoring at-risk teenage women throughout high school and then providing educational scholarships.
